Specialised solutions, equipment and services for the oil and gas sector in Kuwait, delivered through the Alemtiaz group companies and international partners.
Since entering the oil sector in 2015, Alemtiaz has supplied oil companies and contractors in Kuwait with equipment and services that support drilling, production and facility maintenance. We draw on our group companies and on partnerships with international manufacturers and service companies, with local management following every project from request to delivery. This page outlines our main service lines, and our team can prepare a technical and commercial proposal for any of them to suit project requirements.
Artificial lift
We supply electric submersible pump (ESP) systems and their components, and help customers choose the right configuration after reviewing well data such as production rate, depth, temperature, gas and sand content, and fluid properties. Our supply includes:
- ESP pumps and motors configured for conventional wells, and for wells with corrosive fluids or a tendency to scale.
- Small-diameter systems for wells with limited space, such as mature, deviated or dual completion wells.
- ESP cables with copper or aluminium alloy conductors, and motor lead extensions (MLE).
- Three-phase power transformers, variable speed drives (VSD) and control switchboards.
Variable speed drives let the pump speed be adjusted to match well productivity and provide a soft start that reduces stress on the motor and cable, and we provide technical support during installation and start-up.
Diesel and solar hybrid power
In a hybrid system, solar panels carry part of the site load during the day, the diesel generator covers the rest of the load and the night hours, and a controller shares the load between them automatically. The system can be installed at a fixed location or packaged in a container for moving to remote sites. It suits off-grid sites, reducing fuel consumption, exhaust emissions and the number of diesel deliveries to site.
Well services
Through our partners we arrange coiled tubing and nitrogen services for well intervention, such as cleaning out wellbore deposits, stimulating producing zones and bringing wells that have stopped flowing back into production. This work is carried out with suitable equipment and specialised crews under the safety procedures approved in the field.
Pipeline and process services
With our partners we provide services that prepare pipelines and process plants for operation and keep them running efficiently, including:
- Pipeline cleaning and gauging by pigging.
- Hydrostatic and leak testing, drying and nitrogen purging before start-up.
- Chemical cleaning, and flushing with high pressure water or oil.
- Flange bolt tightening to the specified torque with manual and hydraulic tools.
Drilling support
We move drilling rigs between well sites through Swanberg Kuwait, and build drilling and workover locations through HOTECC. We complete this with fuel, water and sewage transport to site, and in-house support with customs formalities for our customers’ imports and exports.
Heavy equipment rental
Our group companies HOTECC and ELS provide the heavy equipment needed for oil and gas, construction and industrial projects, with operating crews and technical support that keep equipment ready throughout the contract. Demand for this equipment grows as drilling and production expand in Kuwait, and we work to have our equipment available when customers need it.
Manpower supply
We supply manpower for upstream, midstream and downstream operations in every category, from experts, engineers and technicians to general labour. We provide the training and qualification required and follow health, safety, environment and quality procedures at every work site.
Mud logging and geological services
Through SGPS and our partners we provide mud logging and drilling monitoring, with geologists and drilling engineers on site continuously tracking rock cuttings, gas readings and drilling parameters, and data and reports passed to the customer’s team as work progresses. This data helps identify formations, follow well pressures and make the right decision at the right time.
Slickline services
Through our partners we provide slickline services for routine well intervention, such as running gauges and surveys, setting and pulling downhole plugs and valves, cleaning deposits from the wellbore, and light fishing jobs.
External coating
Through our partners we supply casing and tubing with an external coating that protects against corrosion, with the coating type selected to suit well conditions and project requirements.
Operation and maintenance
We take on the operation and maintenance of facilities under contracts that cover a whole facility or selected parts of it, as the owner requires. We plan scheduled and preventive maintenance around the production schedule and provide the technical staff, equipment and spare parts required, with regular reports that keep the customer informed of the condition of its facilities.
Agency and trading
We represent international manufacturers and service companies in Kuwait, supporting them through prequalification, registration and mobilisation, and we supply the materials and equipment the oil sector needs, including:
- OCTG casing and tubing, and casing hardware.
- Line pipe of all types, and valves.
- Drilling mud materials, and cementing materials and services.
- Heat exchangers, burners, boilers and specialised materials.
