Alemtiaz generator in a public park

Alemtiaz Kuwaiti for Logistic and Oil & Gas Services Co. supplies new and used diesel generators to public parks, gardens and their events in Kuwait, for sale or daily and monthly rental, with a site survey and load calculation, delivery, installation and commissioning within 24 hours including cables and transfer switches, and emergency maintenance within 24 hours.

Typically 20 to 160 kVA, depending on lighting, irrigation pumps and events.

Why do parks and gardens need a generator?

Public parks and gardens depend on electricity for path and lawn lighting, irrigation pumps and fountains, security cameras, kiosks and toilets. Many new parks, or parks on the edge of town, are not fully connected to the grid when they open, and they host seasonal events during holidays that need extra power for set days. A lighting failure in a park full of families in the evening affects visitor safety, and irrigation pumps that stop in the Kuwaiti summer can damage planting within days.

How much generator capacity does a park need?

Capacity depends on the length of the paths and the number of lighting columns, then on irrigation pumps, fountains, facilities and events. The table below shows typical values as a guide:

Load Typical capacity
Kiosks, toilets and security cameras 20 to 40 kVA
Path, lawn and column lighting 20 to 60 kVA
Irrigation pumps and fountains 20 to 100 kVA
Seasonal event with lighting, a stage and sound 60 to 160 kVA

These are typical values only. We set the exact capacity after a site survey and a load calculation, allowing for the starting current of the pumps, which is far higher than their running current.

Is the generator the main supply or a standby?

In parks not yet fully connected to the grid, and at temporary events, the generator is the main supply and we arrange refuelling outside visitor hours. Parks connected to the grid only need a standby generator with a transfer switch that keeps lighting, irrigation and security systems running during an outage.

How is a generator installed in a space open to families?

We choose a spot away from paths, children’s play areas and seating, with enough space for ventilation and refuelling, and we prefer units with a silent canopy so the park stays quiet. We run cables in a protected, tidy way that does not get in the way of visitors or damage the lawns.
