What size of generator does a construction site need?

Generator size depends on the total load running at the same time and on the high starting current of motors such as cranes, pumps and concrete mixers. Once the loads are listed, a reserve margin of typically 20 to 25 per cent is added so the generator runs comfortably without strain.
