Factories and warehouses

Standby and prime generators for factories and warehouses, protecting production lines and cold storage from power cuts, for sale or rental with scheduled and emergency maintenance.

Alemtiaz generator at a factory

Alemtiaz Kuwaiti for Logistic and Oil & Gas Services Co. supplies standby and prime diesel generators to factories and warehouses across Kuwait, including Shuwaikh, Subhan, Mina Abdullah and Shuaiba, new or used for sale or on daily, monthly and yearly rental, with installation within 24 hours, refuelling as agreed, scheduled maintenance and emergency maintenance within 24 hours.

Typically 100 to 1000 kVA, depending on production lines, refrigeration units and critical loads.

Why does a factory or warehouse need a standby generator?

A power cut at a factory stops production lines, spoils work in progress and delays deliveries to customers. In cold stores, an outage of just a few hours can mean losing the entire stock. That is why industrial facilities in Shuwaikh, Subhan, Mina Abdullah and Shuaiba rely on a standby generator ready to start the moment the grid fails, or on a prime generator at sites not yet connected to the grid or needing extra capacity.

What generator size suits an industrial facility?

Sizing follows a study of the critical loads that must keep running and the starting current of motors and compressors. It is important to distinguish between apparent and real power when reading equipment nameplates, as explained in our article on kVA versus kW. The table below shows typical values for guidance:

Facility or load Typical capacity
Dry warehouse with lighting and offices 60 to 150 kVA
Workshop or small factory 150 to 300 kVA
Cold store or freezer rooms 200 to 500 kVA
Factory with several production lines 500 to 1000 kVA

These are typical values only. We confirm the exact capacity after reviewing the facility’s actual load schedule. In many cases the standby generator does not need to cover the whole plant, only the critical loads such as refrigeration, security systems and core production lines, which reduces both the generator size and its fuel consumption.

How does a standby generator work during a power cut?

A standby generator is usually connected through an automatic transfer switch (ATS) that moves the loads to the generator within seconds of a grid failure and returns them once supply is restored. For the generator to perform at the critical moment, it needs scheduled maintenance and regular test runs, because a unit left idle for months may not respond when needed. Our programmes are described on the generator maintenance page.

Should I buy or rent?

For permanent standby power, buying is usually the better option. We offer new generators as well as used units from brands including Eicher and Cooper, with silent canopy options for facilities close to offices. Rental suits electrical maintenance shutdowns, temporary expansions, peak production seasons and facilities awaiting grid connection.

  • Daily, monthly and yearly rental.
  • Delivery, installation and commissioning within 24 hours.
  • Diesel tanks and refuelling as agreed.
  • Emergency maintenance within 24 hours.

How do I get a recommendation and a quote?

Send us the facility location, the type of operation and the load schedule or a recent electricity bill, and our team will prepare a recommendation and a quotation within one hour during working hours. Request a quote for your facility.
